From the perspective of nearly a century, what does it mean to create and exist on our own terms? How has our feminism changed? Do we have greater agency? How much angrier have we become? Organized by the Colourful Noise collective, this program focuses on a genre that has been marginalised by both the traditional film industry and the visual arts community. The short films screened were curated by visual artist Anna Járai, co-founder of the collective, examining the parallels between the boundary-pushing nature of the moving image medium and the fluidity of feminist discourse.
