The Varsányi Sirens are a self-taught women’s a cappella group, choir, and community that is constantly evolving and changing. Regular but informal and free singing sessions, concerts, artistic collaborations, and community building are an integral part of this process. Beyond working and unwinding together, it also creates a platform for us to address topics that affect and interest us, both within and beyond the framework of (pop) music. We feel it is important that our community is shaped not only by an interest in singing and creative processes, but also by female solidarity and the idea that everyone can sing if they are given a voice, space, and air in a community.
