Join us and make your own scrunchie!
For women living in Roma settlements, finding employment is often difficult; prejudice and financial obstacles frequently arise right from the start. But a supportive community can open up new opportunities.

While crafting your own unique scrunchie at our workshop, you can learn about Shancó, a social enterprise run by women living in the Roma settlement in Dány, and the work of the Bagázs Association. Shancó gives people living in Roma settlements the opportunity to experience what it is like to work in a supportive community in a safe environment.

Come and create with us, and take home not only the scrunchie, but also its story – perhaps it will already be useful for the evening’s concert.

No prior sewing skills are necessary; you can learn everything here.
It takes about 45-60 minutes to make one scrunchie.
