Consent is an ongoing practice; our bodies continuously send us signals of where we feel safe, where we need to set boundaries, and where we need to challenge ourselves. In this workshop we will reflect on the bodily experiences that make our bodies say yes, no, or maybe, through guided body scan meditation, drawing, and collage.

Materials will be provided for participants. This workshop is open to all genders and artistic levels.

Schedule
7:00 – 7:10 Doors open, settling in
7:10 – 7:30 Guided meditation and brief introduction about the topic
7:30 – 8:20 Free creative time
8:20 – 8:30 Break
8:30 – 9:00 Sharing circle and closing (you can share as much or as little as you want in this circle. Participants are also free to take their artworks home or leave them with the organizer)

The workshop is hosted by Sarah Diefallah, an interdisciplinary artist and facilitator whose work explores identity, collective trauma, and liminality. Her work has been shown in four solo exhibitions in Hungary and in group ones in Budapest and Berlin, and featured in Fusayfsa’ Journal, Tamazight Women Movement, and Low Tides Zine. In 2023, Sarah started Inner Brush, a series of communal art workshops centered on embodied experiences, free creativity, and meditative practices. Using her background in Psychology and Art, she facilitates reflective spaces where participants are invited to slow down, create at their own pace, and connect with other creatives.
